Ansonia Parents Alliance - APA

The Ansonia Parents Alliance is striving to make a difference in the lives of our children in the Ansonia School District!  We will post important information here periodically.  Also please visit and like our Facebook page.  Use the button in the right top corner to go there.

Our Mission Statement:
  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community.
  • To bring closer the relationship of home and school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of the child.
  • To enhance the educational facilities and opportunities for the students of Ansonia Local School (grades pre-school through 8th) that is not otherwise provided for in the school corporation budgets.



VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the following events for the 2018-2019 school year:

APA Scholastic Book- Takes place in March each year.

Duties include: 

  • Scheduling the Book Fair each year with Scholastic

  • Organizing volunteers to help at the Book Fair

  • Coordinating with Teachers to schedule each class’s visit 

  • Set up/ Tear down of the book display

  • Coordinating with Chairperson for Book Bingo

  • Counting inventory

APA Cookie Dough Fundraiser- Kick off is in September & Delivery is in November

Duties include:

  • Scheduling the fundraiser/dance with Club’s Choice each year

  • Organizing volunteers to help with collection day (s) & Cookie Dough dance

  • Verifying each order before sending to Club’s Choice

  • Be present on delivery day and assure all orders are picked up
