- Two year degree or higher in child development or early childhood education
- Interest and desire to work with children.
- Completes training and keeps current certifications in first aid, communicable diseases, and child abuse/neglect.
- Demonstrates an interest to attend early childhood conferences, meetings, etc., and maintain required in-service hours.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as approved by the Board of Education.
